My wife and I have experimented with several extensions. This one is probably a little longer than 6.5 inches. The base plate really could be taken off and the strap was useless. Now the good part. I did not like this product at all! It was very uncomforable with the lumpy veins and the too hard plastic material. My husband had much difficulty fitting into the hollow inside of it.
